THE LAMPASAS LEADER - August 9, 1907

Married, Sunday morning, August 4, 1907, Mr. John Greenwood and Miss Louella Mims, Judge White officiating. There is a little romance connected with this wedding, which makes it all the more interesting. Some few years ago Mr. Mims moved to this place from Navasota, and his charming daughter and young Greenwood formed an attachment for each other. Becoming dissatisfied here, Mr. Mims returned to his former home and the daughter with him. But the young people did not allow the matter of distance to interfere with their attachment, and by correspondence they kept in touch with each other. Mr. Greenwood having demonstrated his ability as an employee of the Wells- Fargo people became entitled to his vacation, and is now enjoying that. The young lady came over to Rockdale to visit her sister, and he went down there, her consent was obtained to a marriage at once, and they came up Sunday morning, and the rest was easy. The Leader extends its congratulations and wishes the young people every happiness which they have pictured for the future.
