Rebecca C. Perkins

Rebecca C. Perkins, 20, died Monday, August 30, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident in Perry County, Pa. Born September 22, 1983 in Muskogee, Okla., she was the daughter of William T. and Mary C. (Plantenberg) Perkins of Hanover. Rebecca was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Westminster, Md., where she played the piano. She was a 2001 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover and was a senior at Shippensburg, University. And, a Girl Scout Silver Award Recipient. Surviving also are two brothers, Donald W. Perkins currently serving in the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf and Kenneth M. at home; paternal grandmother, Bonnie N. Perkins of Memphis, Tenn.; maternal grandparents, Paul and Leone Plantenberg of Spring Hill, Fla.; and maternal great-grandmother, Dagmar Leedahl of Minnesota. Rebecca was predeceased in death by her paternal grandfather, Arch E. Perkins. The funeral service was held at First United Presbyterian Church, 65 Washington Road, Westminster, Md. with Pastor Walt Peters officiating.
