Loretta I. Abeyta, age 48, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
Loretta was born on September 2, 1964 in Embudo, NM to William Abeyta and Inez Lucero Abeyta.
Loretta was formerly the Director of the Mora Senior Citizens. Loretta also enjoyed writing poems, currently working on a novel and she was very giving and liked to help people.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father, William Abeyta, maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Lucero and paternal grandparents, Vicente and Nestora Abeyta.
Loretta is survived by her daughters, Notoria "Tori" Gonzáles, Santana Gonzáles both of Holman, NM, Korazon Romero, Amarisa Romero both of Mora, NM, granddaughters, Avaleigh Gonzáles and Evany Vásquez of Holman, NM, mother, Inez Abeyta of Holman, NM, brothers, William Abeyta and his wife, Mary Rose of Alcalde, NM and Daniel Abeyta of San Diego, CA.
Rosary devotional services will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM with Father James Sánchez as celebrant. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at the San Isidro Cemetery in Holman, NM .
