Dee Ellen Pearson, 60, of Monticello, died at 4:26 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born on June 26, 1952, in New Richmond to the late Kenneth Martin and Elizabeth Ellen (Killey) Frey.

Her marriage was to Fred Pearson on April 6, 1991, in Monticello. He survives in Monticello.

Mrs. Pearson worked for Landis-Gear and then Wabash for 14 years. Mrs. Pearson was a member of the Chow-Chow Club and the Amercian Kennell Club. She enjoyed showing her dogs.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Shoaf, of Monticello and Kain Pearson, of Monticello; daughter, Elizabeth (Alan) Taylor, of Warsaw; three sisters, Brenda Howe, of Stockwell, Anita Miller, of Shadeland and Tammy (Bo) Halsema, of Lafayette; and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life will be held at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012; officiating is brother-in-law, Pastor Ed Pearson.

Burial will take place at Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
