Their children were Marshall Van Meter (1899-1986), Elizabeth Barbour (1901-87), and Mary Bruce (1904-2000).

Elizabeth Barbour Bruce (1901-87) last lived in Ashland, Ky. She married in 1921, Henry Ford Roberts (1896-1961), of Shelby County, who served in the Marine Corps in WWI. A son was Henry Ford Roberts, Jr.
