LAST FRONTENAC CIVIL WAR VETERAN IS DEAD

William Andrew Adams, last Civil War veteran,
died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at the residence in Frontenac at the age of 81 years. He saw much
army service during the war, especially around Gettysburg.
Mr. Adams was born in Ireland on April 17, 1836. He came to America when a boy and lived in Indiana. Later he moved to Pittsburgh, Pa., where he enlisted. He was a resident of Kansas
for 38 years and lived in Frontenac for 18 years.
He is survived by a widow and four children, Mrs. J.S. Patton, Frontenac; Mrs. W.A. Adams, Parsons; Mrs. Gus Slyvester, Frontenac, and A.T. Adams, Rolla, Mo.
The funeral will be held at the residence at 10 o'clock this morning.
Civil War veterans from Pittsburg will be pallbearers and six Boy Scouts will be honorary pallbearers. Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery.
