BRISTOL, Va. Jennie Lee Bailey, 91, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at NHC of Bristol, Va. She was born in Harr, Tenn., on Feb. 23, 1921, a daughter of the late John Harrison and Bertie Phillips Maye. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howell Bailey; brothers, Edgar, Paul, Bill and Jessee Maye; and special son-in-law, Billy Osborne. Jennie Lee was a member of Denton Valley Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 3rd floor staff at NHC. Jennie Lee is survived by her seven children, Irma McReynolds and husband, Robert of Blountville, Tenn., Joyce Tittle and husband, Wayne of Bristol, Tenn., Helen Slagle and husband, Allen of Bristol, Va., Alice Osborne of Abingdon, Va., Mary Bird and husband, Walter of Bristol, Va., Robert Bailey and wife, Wanda of Abingdon, and Patty Bailey Mink of Bristol, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Blevins Funeral Services. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tony Trunnell and Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Montgomery Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Robert McReynolds, Wayne Tittle, Allen Slagle and Walt Bird.
