Carl H. Greenwood, 85, of Slatington, passed away April 17, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Charlotte M. (Davis) Greenwood, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past May. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Charlie and Emily (Backus) Greenwood. Carl worked for the former Handcock Kitchens, Allentown, for 12 years and he served as sexton at St. Johns U.C.C., Slatington, for 21 years. He also worked part time at Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. He served in the Army during World War II where he was a Staff Sergeant and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Allen O Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, for the past 60 years.
Survivors: Wife; brother, LaMar Greenwood of Allentown; nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007, in Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
