Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Carthy A. and Minnie Martin Argo. He was a member of Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Beverly Argo Turner of Abbeville and Cheryl Argo Hayes of Easley; a sister, Verbille Harrison of Abbeville; two brothers, Sam Argo and the Rev. Marion Argo, both of Abbeville; and five grandchildren.
Services are 11 am Monday at Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev.-Ray Massey. The body will be placed in the church at 10. Burial is in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 5:30-7:30 tonight at Harris Funeral Home. The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 109 Barrett St, Abbeville, SC. Harris Funeral Home is in charge.
