George W. Chandler, 56, 117 W. Third St., died at 5:10 p.m. yesterday at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was a native of Madison and a retired employee of Grote Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church and an army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Helene Watson Chandler; one son, Garry R., Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Karen J. Davis, Rushville; two sisters: Mrs. Gertrude Satterwhite, Anderson; and Mrs. Carlotta Washington, Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one aunt and two uncles. He was preceded in death by one sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Second Baptist Church with burial in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at Gans Funeral Home after 2 p.m. tomorrow and until 11 a.m. Tuesday, and then from 12:15 until 2 p.m. at the church.
