East Palestine, OH-August 17, 2011-Andrew L. Cunningham, Sr. 52, of 147 South St. died suddenly August 17, 2011 at Lakeside Campground in Berlin Center.

Andy was born May 27, 1959 in Salem, a son of William and Nina Van Fossan Cunningham, Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life.

Andy had worked for Magneco Metrel in Negley for several years. Andy loved coaching baseball for East Palestine Youth Sports Association and Hotstove and was a huge supporter of his children and grandchildren and their activities. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, the former Peggy S. Bishop, whom he married October 9, 1976; a daughter, Cathy (Edgard) Nieto of East Palestine; three sons, Andrew (Alicia) Cunningham, Jr. of East Palestine, William (Tabatha) Cunningham of Salem and Ivan (Jennifer) Cunningham of New Galilee, PA; a sister, Bonny Sutherin of Pittsburgh, Pa; three brothers, Karl (Cindy) Cunningham of Negley, Howard (Marchelle) Cunningham of Boston, MA and William (Linda) Cunningham Jr. of Negley; and fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Judy Davis of B &J Ministries officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday at the funeral home.
