Funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 10. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Britt, with Rev. John M. Gregory and Fr. Gerald Hartz officiating. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Livermore. with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mildred Fandel was born at Rodman on Aug. 4, 1915, to George and Laura Rohman Fandel. She attended school in Rodman and, on April 2, 1940, was wed to Lawrence Gleiden at St. Michael's in Whittemore. The couple farmed in the Corwlth/Wesley area before moving into Britt in 1958.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; two sisters, Dorothea, Mrs. Leo Carman, Algona; and Blanid, Mrs. Joseph Conrad, Las Vegas, NV; and a brother, George Fandel, Durwood, MD.
