Leona M. Thedick, 96, formerly of Marinette, WI passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Woodside Nursing Home in Green Bay, WI. She was born on May 21, 1914, to the late William and Viola (Roy) Provancher in Marinette, WI.
Leona graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
On May 20, 1938, she married Victor G. Thedick in Marinette. He preceded her in death in October of 1982.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, and the craft ladies of the church. She was also a member of the Lady Elks. She enjoyed playing cards.
Leona is survived by a son Victor F. (Judy) Thedick of St. Paul Park, Minn.;
two daughters: Marie Behnke of Marinette, Wis. and Ann (John) Hoffman of De Pere, Wis.;
seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Victor, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy and a sister, Sister Francis De Sales of St Louis, Mo.
Friends may call at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, 1225 Carney Blvd., Marinette, on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from 10 until 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with Reverend Joseph Dorner officiating. Burial is in Forest Home Cemetery.
