LORRAINE HALSEY McBREARETY, 74, formerly of this area, died Jan. 31, 1988, in a nursing home in Osawatomie, Kan., where she lived. She was born Jan. 18, 1914, in Brumley, Mo., and lived in Kansas City, Kan., most of her life. Mrs. McBrearety was formerly a cook for Mid-American Foods. She was a Methodist. Her husband, Charles McBrearety, died in 1975. Survivors include four daughters, Patty Turner and Luetta Phelps of Spring Hill in Johnson County, Charlene Valeau, Springfield, Mo., and Linda Cheri Ross, Wellington, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 2, 1988, at the Maple Hill Chapel; Rev. Dale Stanley, Rosedale Baptist Church officiating; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
