Virginia Class nee Disharoon, 91, of Doylestown entered heaven on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA.

She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert A. Class

Born in Philadelphia, Pa she was the daughter of the late Theodore Lee and Sally (Oglesby) Disharoon.

Virginia was born in Philadelphia, but spent her formative years in Paoli, Pa.

She attended West Chester before marrying her husband of 47 years.

They lived in Ireland for 4 years and England for 2 to 1/2 years before settling down in Pineville in 1952.

Virginia was active in many organizations.

She was a dedicated volunteer for the Red Cross for over 40 years educating new volunteers along with many other hats.

She was honored with the 4 Chaplains award for her work with the Red Cross.

Virginia was also extremely active in her church serving in every way as a vestry woman, rectors warden, youth group leader, newsletter writer, Organizer of Christmas Bazaars and Rummage Sales, and cooked many meals to raise funds.

She was active in the American Field Service and Hosted many young people over the years including Anne Felberg from Norway who lived with her for a year.

She hosted Fresh Air children from New York for the entire summer for about 8 years.

She was a past president of the Doylestown Nature Club and past President of her beloved PEO.

She was active in the PTA and along with her best friend Dorothy Raffetto originated the Buckingham June Fete to buy record Players for the school in 1954.

Virginia's biggest love was her family and her Grand Children were all perfect in every way.

Virginia is survived by her son Geoffrey Herbert and his wife Kathy of New Holland; a daughter Deborah (Deb) Prendergast and her husband Vince of Doylestown; 5 grandchildren, Greg and wife Stephanie Prendergast of Newark Delaware, Tracy and Johnny Welsh of New Holland, Douglas and wife Kari Prendergast of Doylestown, Rebecca Witmer of New Holland, and Patrick and Megan Prendergast of Smyrna, Ga.; two brothers, Thomas, married to Marge Disharoom of Richmond, VA, and Leslie B., married to Ann Disharoon of Charlottesville, VA; and a sister Helen Decker of Pittsburgh.

Preceding her in death is a sister Jane and her husband, Joe Pattison; and a brother-in-law, William Decker.

Also are 8 great-grandchildren that she adored, Haelee, Emma, Aidan, Brady, Sarah, Lilly, Lauren, and Caleb

Service will be held Friday, Dec 14th at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 2631 Durham Road, Buckingham, PA 18912 with the Reverend Lucy Amerman officiating, with interment of ashes at the church followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Trinity Episcopal Church Buckingham.
