Dolores M. Bade, 87, of Rogers City, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City. The daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Chrzan) Kowalski was born in Rogers City June 23, 1925.

As a young lady Dolores drove taxi in Rogers City for Louis LaVeck and worked for a short period of time in Detroit.

Dolores was united in marriage with Mr. Norval Bade on August 3, 1948, in Rogers City.

Dolores was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) Ladies Auxiliary Post 607, and St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time and entertaining with her family and friends and was able to spend many years fishing with them.

She is survived by:
...her son, Kendrick (Cella) Bade, and
...her granddaughter, Emma,
...a brother, Ron (Sandy) Kowalski all of Rogers City; and
...many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by:
…her husband, Norval, on February 17, 1995;
…three brothers: Raymond Kowalski, Eugene Kowalski, and Donald Kowalski; and
…two sisters: Violet Morgan and Margaret Kerr.

Visitation for family and friends was held on Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Hentkowski Funeral Home, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Tribute at 6:45 p.m. followed with a Prayer Service.

Visitation continued on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral mass with Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Ignatius Catholic School or to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 607.
