Funeral services were held for Mr. Walter B. Barclay at the First Baptist Church, September 18, 2:30 p.m. with Rev. A.P.Stokes and Rev.C. Melvin Ratheal officiating.
Mr. Barclay was born November 20, 1870. He married Anna Alice Bateman in 1898 at Winnsboro, Texas and to this union five sons were born. He moved to Dickens County in January 1915 with his family.Pallbearers were Casey Alldredge, M.S. Monday, Horace Cane, Marion Simpson, Eddie Birdsman and ____ Cope.Mr. Barclay is survived by five sons, Claud Barclay, and Walter S. Barclay of Spur, Curtis Barclay and Guy Barclay of Lubbock; and Bynum P. Barclay, Tempe, AZ. Three sisters, 11 grandchildren.
