Parolled at Richmond Virginia 9-7-62, Fort Delaware Delaware 9-17-62, and Camp Parole Annapolis Maryland 12-22-62. Returned to regiment 1-5-63. Severely wounded at Chancellorsville--right leg broken. POW at Chancellorsville. Parolled at US Ford Virginia 5-15-63. Died on parol at 12th Corps General Field Hospital Acquia Creek Virginia on 5-15-63 of wounds.

Nicknamed: "Blue Ike."
