Elizabeth Taylor McFadden
Of Dover, DE, passed away December 9, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 93.

Mrs. McFadden was born June 29, 1919 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Percival Franklin Taylor and Arleen Evadna Bagby Taylor. She attended Earlham College in Indiana as an English Major.

She served in the United States Navy from 1942-1945 as a radio operator second class, she was the 1st class of WAVES out of Philadelphia. Mrs. McFadden was the Clerk of Peace in Kent County from 1967-1971. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover, Dover Century Club and the Colonial Tennis Club. Mrs. McFadden was an avid bridge player, tennis player, collected antiques and enjoyed sailing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William "Nick" McFadden, 2002 and sister, Dorothy Booth.

She is survived by her son, W. Nicholas McFadden and his wife Kim of Newark, DE; daughters, Elizabeth M. Rice of Vincennes, IN, Nancy M. Krzyzanowski and her husband Jim of Rehoboth, DE, S. Amanda Skomorucha and her husband Rob of Wilmington, DE, Arleen Laporte and her husband Rusty of Lewes, DE; brother, Robert Taylor of Guilford, CT; sister, Anna Lou Harney, Mary Point, VA; six grandchildren, John, Curtis, Meredith, Ashley, Michael and Colin; and one great grandchild, Ellie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30Am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 9 to 9:30AM. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
