Tonya Lynn Reese, 42 years of age, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Challis, Idaho.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held next spring.
Tonya was born on April 10, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the middle child of three born to Albert and Darlene (Brady) Shepherd. She grew up in Stratford, Oklahoma where she attended school.
She was married to Eric Alexander and to this union two children were born: Andrew and Erica. They lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma where Tonya raised her children and had a beautiful rose garden.
They were divorced in 2001 and Tonya moved to Denver, Colorado where she met Eric Reese. Tonya and Eric moved back to Oklahoma to be near her parents and children. Alissa was born in 2002 in Ada, Oklahoma and Haley in 2004. Eric and Tonya were married on March 20, 2004. They moved to Colorado Springs where Tonya continued to raise her children.
In 2006 they relocated to Challis, Idaho where Tonya worked at the Challis Assisted Living Facility, the Motel, the Junction Gas Station and most recently at the Stinker Station. Tonya learned how to sew and enjoyed decorating the house with her homemade drapes. She had a strong will when it came to things that were important to her. She looked out for her children and family and they will miss her feisty spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Reese, of Challis; four children: Andres Michael Alexander, of Sherman, TX, Erica Renee Alexander, of Ardmore, OK, Alissa Nickoll and Haley Renea Reese, of Challis; brother, Richard Shepherd, of Oklahoma; and sister, Scarlet and Christopher Pack, of Seminole, OK.
Tonya was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Jones & Casey Funeral Home of Challis, Idaho.
