Funeral rites were conducted Friday afternoon, July 6, from Heyworth Christian Church with the Rev. Vernon L. Oakley officiating. Interment followed in East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington.
Born Oct. 6, 1912, in Chauncey, he was the son of Loren and Maude (Haines) Amerman. He was married April 8, 1944 to Jane Geske, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Maude Amerman of Sumner; a daughter, Melissa Davis of Morton; a sister, Edith Johnson of Huntington, Ind.; and a grandson.
Mr. Moore was a retired employee of General Telephone Company of Illinois, a former teacher and administrator in McLean schools. He also farmed after retiring from the telephone company in 1977. He was a graduate of Illinois State University and an elder in Heyworth Christian Church.
