Alanson W. Doane, 98, husband of the late Mary Connell Doane, formerly of Genesee Garden Apartments, died Sunday November 28, 1976 at the Harr Wood Nursing Home, Oswego, following a brief illness.

Mr. Doane was born in the Town of Moravia, the son of the late George and Mary Haskell Doane. He had owned and operated a farm in Venice Center, retiring in 1961. Since retirement, he had resided in Auburn until his illness. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Auburn.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Irene) Bush, Waterloo; Mrs. Charles (Freida) Blaisdell, Cayuga; Mrs. Albert (Iva) Bardreau, Auburn. Two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Elwood Baylor of Auburn, Mrs. Catherine C. Clark, Port Byron. A niece, Mrs. Earl VanPelt, Moravia. 6 grand- children, a great grandson, two great grand-daughters, two great grandnieces.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday 10 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 84 South St., Rev. John L. Taylor, pastor of the Second Baptist Church will officiate. Interment at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Scipio Center. Friends are invited to call at 84 South St. from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
