He was a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service where he earned many merit awards and honors for his actions. He was the lead agent in the Cyber Crime Unit in Illinois. He was a former employee of the Union City Police Department and the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department.

He had a deep love for God, his country, his fellow co-workers, friends and neighbors; but most importantly he treasured his family and especially his children.

In addition to his children, he is survived by his mother, Mary Jo King of Troy, his brother and sister-in-law, William H. (Bill) King, Jr. and Mitzi King, his sister and brother-in-law, Julie (King) James and Travis James. He is also survived by his doting nieces and nephews, Will, Emily & Kaydee King of Troy and Brian James of Cloverdale.

He is preceded in death by his father, William H. (Bill) King, his grandparents John Harold and Katherine Marie King and Richard James.

He was a dedicated, devoted and loving father, son, brother, uncle, friend and mentor. He was an inspiration, a patriot and an unsung hero to all who had the honor to know him. Words will never justify the magnitude of this loss.

Condolences may be sent to the family at the funeral home website: Anyone wishing to send donations in lieu of flowers may send their contributions to an education trust fund set up in honor of his two children. For information please contact Julie James via email at
