Frances M. Miller, 96, York, died on February 6, 2013, at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late James R. Miller. Born in Clinton County, she was the daughter of the late William I. and Bertha (Kryder) Goodman.
She was a flashcube maker for Sylvania.
Frances delivered for Meals on Wheels, and attended the United Methodist Church at Normandie Ridge. She was also an avid gardener.
She is survived by a son James Miller of Medford, N.Y.; five grandchildren, James Miller, Northeast Pennsylvania, Jeanna Moritz of N.Y., Dwendy Johnson, York, Jeffrey Johnson, York and Courtney Shue, York; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Miller Johnson.
Following cremation a service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 12, at Normandie Ridge in the Multi Purpose Room, 1700 Normandie Ridge, York, with the Rev. David L. Brinker officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Multi Purpose Room. Burial will follow at a later date in Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
