HOISINGTON — Kermit Harrison Henry, 82, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2007, at Cheyenne Meadows Living Center, Hoisington. He was born March 26, 1925, in Barnes, the son of Jess and Mae (Archer) Henry. Kermit married Darlene Riebersehl on Dec. 4, 1952, at Raton, N.M. She survives. He retired from Fuller Brush and before that was a cabinet maker and auto mechanic. He was a resident of Hoisington since 1971, coming from Denver, Colo. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, of Hoisington; a son, Steve Henry and wife Diane, Hoisington; two daughters, Patty Carrier and husband David of Albert, and Judy Rice and husband John of Guymon, Okla.; a brother, Norman Henry and wife Jeanette of Lakewood,Colo.; a sister, Bessie Donahey of Logan; seven grandchildren, Laura Urban and Kelly, Hoisington; Jake Henry and Christi, Hoisington; Chris Linsner and Liz, Hoisington; Dana Van Brimmer and Duke, Hoisington; Jessi Layland and Tim, Dallas, Texas; Jennifer Rice, Guymon, Okla.; and Courtney Linsner, Albert; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Henry, two sisters, Violet States and Hazel Lambach, and one grandson, Eric W. Rice.

Graveside memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Hoisington Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7428 and American Legion Post No. 286. The Rev. John Grummon will officiate. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the charity or organization of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
