Nina M. Hubbard of Lexington, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2017, surrounded by her family at the age of 63. Nina was born May 6, 1953 at Lexington, Nebraska to Alvin and Mary (Wood) Hubbard. She grew up on a farm north of Overton, Nebraska and graduated from Overton High School. Nina worked at Lexington Livestock and for the Nebraska Department of Roads. She loved all animals and adopted any animal that needed a home, even if it meant getting another job to pay for them. She was a kind and caring person, often taking in others that needed a little help getting back on their feet. Nina enjoyed traveling and camping, especially to Colorado and Wyoming, and would take her nieces and nephews on trips with her. She cherished her nieces, nephews and two dogs as if they were her own children. She will be missed by many. Nina was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard Hubbard. Survivors include her siblings, Wally (Martha) Hubbard of Lexington; Sherry (Nick) Gehrt of Lexington; Wayne (Bobbie) Hubbard of Overton and Charlie Hubbard of Overton; sister-in-law, Cindy (Steve) Getty of Overton; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 5 pm to 10 pm at Tep's Bar and Grill in Lexington. Berryman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
