WIA at Antietam--gunshot to right leg, hospitalized Camp Curtin, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; German Reformed Church U.S. Army Hospital Harrisburg; U.S. Army Convalescent Hospital, Patterson Park, Baltimore, Maryland. Deserted 2-15-63. Returned regiment 5-27-63. WIA at Gettysburg--gunshot left arm severe & right thigh, injured testicles, tearing away scrotum, lodging inside of upper 1/3 of left thigh, 1st Div/12th Corps General Field Hospital, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Died from wounds.

12th Corps Field Hospital was the Bushman House near Rock Creek
