Robert Dixon Hively disappeared off the coast of Palm Beach, Florida in a Naval plane, and was never afterward heard from. The particulars of this event could not be learned.

Robert Hively was the son of Mary M. Dixon and Charles F. Hively, Izard Co., AR. He was the brother of Amanda Eliza (McCormack), Elizabeth Jane (Goss), Laura Edna (Goss), Alexander Jernigan Hively and Frances Willard (Russell). Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert married Frances Viccellio on September 10, 1922, in Norfolk, Virginia. They were the parents of Robert Jr., born Aug 1928. Robert was in service to his country in the United States Navy, in which he lost his life in a naval plane that disappeared off the coast of Palm Beach. May he rest in peace forever.
