At a lovely home wedding Tuesday, June 30, Miss Florence E. McMaster, daughter of Mrs. Mattie R. McMaster of Bergholz became the bride of Charles S. Markley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Markley of Lee Township. The nuptial service was read at 10:30 o'clock by Rev. B. J. Yorke of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church. The single ring ceremony was solemnized. Only the immediate friends of the families were present. The bride wore a gown of white crepe and carried a bouquet of pink Brier Cliff roses and Bristol Fairy gypsophalia. A cape of white tulle caught with a wreath of white lilacs and pearls formed her head-dress. Reception and luncheon followed the ceremony. A color scheme of pink and white predominated. In the afternoon the bridal couple left on a motor trip through Canada via Cleveland and Niagara Falls. For traveling the bride wore a rust colored frock with hat and accessories of white. The bride is a graduate of Smithfield High School and Kent State normal, and a teacher in Jefferson and Carroll counties for the past 11 years. The groom is a graduate of Carrollton High School and assists his father in farming and operating their coal mine near Harlem Springs.
