The following information has been contributed by Brenda, a daughter of Madeline: Madeline was married to Louie Neighbors on July 2, 1938 in Dixon, Kentucky. There were 6 children born during this marriage that included Alberta Rose (1939), Mary Ann (1942), Donna Joyce (1943), James Edward (1947), Brenda Sue (1949) and Judy Ellen (1951). Madeline was the youngest of 13 children born to Josiah Joseph Hull (b. 1873 - d. 1951) and Sylvania Catharine Horton (b. 1877 - d. 1961). Both of her parents died in Saline County, Illinois.

Madeline was quite the character. She was married to Louie E. Neighbors for 19 years before their divorce. She then married Warren Johnson 2 times. Her last marriage was to Harold Eugene Pearsall.

Mother (Madeline) was very flamboyant. She loved anything that glittered. She loved music and could play the organ "by ear". She wrote a song, which she was very proud of, named "Are you Building a Home". She would sing it for anyone that would listen. Madeline loved the South and always considered southern Illinois as her "real home".
