"Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated yesterday for Mrs. Anna G. Kenny, 83, of 48 Main Street, Westernport, who died Thursday 28 December 1989 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, where she was a patient for three days. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont was in charge of the arrangements.
The Catholic Daughters of America recited The Rosary at the funeral home on Sunday evening at seven o'clock.
Pallbearers were all grandsons, Bill Moran, Major Moran, T. C. Moran, Jamie Kelly, Billy Kenny and Grant Podelco.
The family asked that memorials be given to Tri-Towns Rescue Service, St. Peter School fund, American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
Born 19 February 1906 in Oakland, Md., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ellen M. (DeWitt) Maffet. Her husband James Estel Kenny died 10 February 1958.
Mrs. Kenny was a member of St. Peter Church, Catholic Daughters of America, the Tri-State Soroptimist club, Westernport Senior Citizens and Victory Unit 155, American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, James E. Kenny Jr., Blacksburg, Virginia; William M. Kenny, Westernport and Patrick J. Kenny, Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Mary Ellen Moran, Westernport and Martha Ann Podelco, McCoole, Md.; Marion White, Richmond, Virginia; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren."
