RODGERS - Mrs. Josephine June (Lambert), 82, 207 Ottawa St., formerly of 1765 Scalp Ave., died Jan. 5, 2005, at the home. "Jo" was born June 11, 1922, in Windber, and raised at her home near Reels Corner, daughter of the late Ivan Oscar and Ida Pearl (Rankin) Lambert. Also preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Robert J. (Buck) Rodgers, who died July 19, 1987, and sister, Marge Kushner (Lambert). Jo is survived by sons, Robert I., married to former Sharon Bell, Newport News, Va., and David J., married to former Jane Pasierb, Johnstown. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Randy, Kimberly Light, Erik, Kristin Engle, Pamela, David and Robert; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In 1943 Jo graduated as a registered nurse from the Windber School of Nursing, where she worked for several years before retiring to raise a family. Jo was a member of the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ron St. Clair officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Arbutus Park Manor and Retirement Center, Doerr Wing, 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
