Catherine (Kitty) Jewel Jackson McManus of Crystal Springs went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Visitation will be held on December 11, 2012 at 1pm at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs with chapel services to follow at 2pm and burial at Poplar Springs Cemetery.
She was a resident of Copiah Living Center. She was born on March 8, 1930, in Copiah County, The daughter of the late Joe A. Jackson and the late Znobia Kemp Jackson. Kitty was a former USDA inspector at Sanderson Farms, and a member of Gallman Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Miner and husband Andy of Denham Springs, LA; Sandy Davis and husband Larry of Crystal Springs; and son, Michael McManus of Alabaster, AL. She is survived by eight sister, Vera Mae Jackson of Crystal Springs; Mary Louis Harris of Allen, TX; Lucille White of New Iberia, LA; Eloise Lunn of Ridgeland, Betty Wheelwright of Harlington, TX, Faye Emmons of League City, TX, Linda Jackson of Pearl, and Gail LeBlanc of Byram. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard McManus; brothers, Joe Dee Jackson and Larry Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Shirley McManus.
