Billy served time in the US Air Force, then joined the Naval Reserves in AL. He was on his first Naval Reserve assignment in IL, when he and another Navy man were killed in an auto accident on the way to base. He is sorely missed. With his wonderful sense of humor and his personality, he could have made old Scrooge smile. He was only 34 at the time of his death.
