DEATH CLAIMS MARY E. BLINN
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Blinn, 78, of Star City, succumbed at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Carneal hospital, Winamac, after an illness of several weeks.
A native of Carroll county, she was born March 11, 1875, the daughter of Joseph E. and Jane Elizabeth (Crisler) Snyder, and was married on Dec. 22, 1892, to Horatio S. Blinn, who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1952.
She was a member of the Star City Methodist church and the Pythian Sisters.
Survivors are three sons, Luther of Star City, Bernard of Indianapolis and Cecil, Glendale, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Knebel and Mrs. Carl Hinshaw, both of Star City, and Mrs. Kenneth Huffman of New Castle; three sisters, Mrs. William J. Leiter of Flora, Mrs. Don J. Newman of Star City and Mrs. Charles Clawson, Kokomo, and two brothers, William C. Snyder of Indianapolis, and Earl, Carolis, Ind.
The body was taken to the Leiter funeral home at Flora and will be returned to the late residence in Star City where friends may call after noon Tuesday.
The body will be taken to the Star City Methodist church at 1 p.m. Wednesday to lie in state until the services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ivan C. Goodall, assisted by the Rev. C. C. Harold will officiate and burial will be in the Star City I.O.O.F. cemetery.
