Helen B. Regennitter, 92, of Durant, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Additional visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Pastor Gaylor Nelson will officiate. Serving as casket bearers will be Rhonda Schwarz, Paul Schwarz, Michael Moore, Jacque Moore, Roger Schroeder, Wayne Schroeder, and Ronnie Schroeder. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Memorial donations may be made to Durant Ambulance Service or Cedar Manor Nursing Home in her memory.

Helen B. Fick was born September 3, 1916, to Christian and Emma (Harder) Fick in Wilton, Iowa. She married Hugo Louis Regennitter on November 30, 1940, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1980.

Helen attended the Yankee Hollow School south east of Wilton. She and Hugo farmed in Cedar County near Bennett, retiring in 1976, and moving to Durant. She enjoyed playing cards & Bingo and she was a member of numerous card clubs.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce and husband, Allan Rathjen of Eldridge, and Janet and Mike Moore of Tipton; two grandchildren, Rhonda and husband, Paul Schwarz of Eldridge, and Michael and wife, Jacque Moore of Tipton; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Alvena LaMaack, Edna Dall, Mamie LaMaack, and Hazel Fick and two brothers, Leonard and Herbert Fick.
