MULLINS - William "Bill" Ross died Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the McLeod Medical Center in Florence, SC. A graveside service and burial will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mullins, directed by Cox Collins Funeral Home.
Bill was born on August 18, 1939, in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was the son of the late William C. Ross and Mary Stuart Ross. Bill worked his entire career for Mullins Leaf Tobacco Company. He was a graduate of Caverna High School in Horse Cave, Kentucky. After high school he served in the military as a marksman on Air Force Rifle Team. Bill was an avid fisherman and had many "fish fries" over the years with his friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hardwick Ross.
Surviving Bill are two sisters, Laura Ross of Louisville, Kentucky and Mary "Janie" Ross of Waterford, Wisconsin.
