Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today, July 8, at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home for Albert August Colberg, 92, formerly of 414 Park Drive. He died after a short illness at 3:00 p.m. July 6, at the Lipplegoss Nursing Home. The Vicar Al Flathman of the Zion Lutheran church presided at the funeral.
Burial was at Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Colberg was born February 1, 1871, at Buffalo Prairie, Ill., the son of William and Wilhelmina Fuhlman Colberg. He has been a lifetime resident of Muscatine.
He married Laura Koll in 1913. He attended the Zion Lutheran church.
Mr. Colberg farmed most of his life in Illinois and North Dakota and for 24 years was a helper at Muscatine Weed Park.
Surviving are a brother, Ernest Colberg, Wilton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife in 1922, three brothers and four sisters.
