Mrs. Nina O. Jenkins, 75, of 4623 Brown Drive, died yesterday. Services are pending with N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors. Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Amarillo and was a housewife. She was associated with Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Her husband, William Horace Jenkins, died in 1973. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Lena Bingham of Amarillo; and one nephew, Floyd Bingham; Three nieces, Dorothy Aurouze of Fritch, Mary Melendy of Colorado and Peggy Lemons of Amarillo.
Married William Horace Jenkins on September 29th, 1920 in Canyon, Texas at 4:00 P.M. They got married on a corner in the back seat of a T-model Ford. Mr. & Mrs. M.L. Ammons as witnesses. This information was in her family bible. The bible now in my (Rick Lemons), possesion was given to Aunt Nina by her father, my great grandfather, Greenberry Lee Burch in 1935. That was the year of his death.
