Chester Anthony Pulaski grew up at 372 Zeller Avenue in Akron, Ohio. He attended St. Hedwig's Grade School and was the only son of Alice Pulaski.

He entered military service on 03/28/1942 and was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army, 645th Tank Destroyer Battalion, Service # 35112129.

He was Killed In Action 22 April 1945 by a blast from an armored M-8 bazooka in Aschaffenburg, Germany. He was awarded his first Purple Heart after being wounded in March 1945 and subsequently returned to his unit where he received his second Purple heart following his death
His remains were returned from the European Theatre on board the Oglethorpe Victory in August 1948. Buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, OH.
He was twenty-seven years old at the time of his death.
