Andrew Stott Woods, 34, of Uniontown, PA, formerly of Mt. Lake Park died on Saturday, December 8, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident. Born on May 19, 1978 in Oakland, he was the son of Michael Thomas and Deborah Ann (Gay) Woods of Mt. Lake Park.
He was an attorney for First United Bank and Trust working in their trust department. He previously worked for Pullin, Fowler, and Flanagan Law Firm in Charleston, WV and Farmer, Campbell and Cline Law Firm also in Charleston. While at Southern High School, he was a 1995 All-State Football Safety and played college football for West Virginia Wesleyan College.
At WVU, where he attended law school, he was a legal intern for the President of the university.
Of all of his achievements, he was most proud of having "Daddy-Daughter" days every Saturday. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kyle (Sepp) Woods; his 7 year old daughter, Gabrielle; a brother, Joshua Ray Woods and wife Christina; an aunt, Debbie Clendenin and husband Rich; two uncles, David Woods and wife Brenda and Greg Woods and wife Terri; a great aunt, Bobbie Butler; nephews and niece, Grayer, Bella and Parker.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, December 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12th at 11 AM in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland with Rev. R. Samuel Wachter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, PO Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550
