CORNELL MAN DIES ON BUS

Reno G Barton, 79, Cornell, passed away suddenly Monday at 3:05 p.m. of an apparent heart attack near Cornell, while riding a school bus en-route to Gridley (Ill.) to a track meet.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m from Cornell Methodist church. Burial will be in Cornell cemetery. Rev. Gilbert Fletcher will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m at the Lutheran church in Cornell. Winterrowd funeral home, Streator, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cornell Methodist church.

Son of Frank and Martha (Gambin) Barton, he was born Sept. 6, 1898 at Cornell. He married Lula Santelman, Nov. 27, 1924 near Cornell.

She survives along with two sons, Kenneth E., Rockford, and William F., Cornell; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Thomas F., Bloomington, Ind., and Dr. Ralph D., Hamilton.

A sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Barton lived in the Cornell area most of his lifetime. He retired from farming in 1958. He was a member of Cornell Methodist church. Cornell Community club. Sportsman's club and Farm Bureau.
