Della Hines Hoover died Jan 4, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Pike County, Dec 19, 1879, the daughter of Fred & Elizabeth Reed Hines. She was the wife of Frank H Hoover whom she married on December 23, 1900. He died soon after in 1905 of typhoid fever, just after the birth of their son Latrell. Della spent her life working in the shoe factory in Portsmouth as a "fancy stitcher", supporting herself and her son.
