MRS. AGNES BEIGHLEY, WEST SIDE DRUGGIST, IS CALLED BY DEATH
In Poor Health For Years But Condition Became Serious Only Few Days Ago
Mrs. Agnes Veronica Beighley, owner of the Beighley Pharmacy, West Side, died Tuesday morning at the family home, 709 Crawford avenue, West Side. She had been in poor health for the past year but was able to be about until three days ago when her condition became more serious necessitating her to take her bed.
Mrs. Beighley was born at Westernport, Md., a daughter of William Roland of Connellsville and the late Mrs. Bridget Roland. She was married to W. A. Beighley, who for a number of years was a druggist in the West Side. Following the death of Mr. Beighley in 1913 Mrs. Beighley continued to successfully conduct the business. There was not a better known or more highly respected resident of the West Side than Mrs. Beighley, who had spent the greater part of her life in Connellsville. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda and Alice Beighley, both at home; two sons, Carl C Beighley of Connellsville and Stanley Roy Beighley, at home; her father, three sisters, Mrs. Margaret O'Toole, Miss Katherine Roland and Mrs. Priscilla Roland all of Connellsville, two brothers M. J. Roland of Connellsville, and William Roland of Trotter, and one grandchild Carl Beighley, Jr.
The death of Mrs. Beighley is the third to occur in the Roland family since last October. A brother, Frank Roland died October 16 and a sister, Mrs. Bridget Roland died December 8.
