LINCOLN -- Wilma R. Fraser, 88, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. Pastor Robert Folkers will officiate. Entombment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Fraser was born Sept. 14, 1916, at Ravenna to Gus and Maude (Noyes) Winkler.

Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Donald; and a son, Greg Fraser of Lincoln.

Also surviving are a granddaughter and spouse, Jenny and Patrick Sterns of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Loghan and Ransom Sterns of Lincoln; former daughter-in-law, Terri Fraser of Lincoln; sisters-in-law and spouses, Audrey Winkler of Las Cruces, N.M., Pauline Gaskell, Albion, Mich., Norma and Ross Gavette of Scottsdale, Ariz., Elnora Whitney of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brother-in-law and spouse, Russell and Dora Fraser of Concordia, Kan.; a nephew, Wynn Winkler of Las Cruces, N.M.; nieces and spouses, Myra and Travis Sabine of San Antonio, Texas, Jenee Gavette of San Francisco, Calif., Linda and Dave Latham of St. Louis, Mo., Janet and Ken Schmidt of Salina, Kan., and Carolyn Fraser of Phoenix.

She graduated from Ravenna high school and enrolled in the Grand Island Business College to become a professional secretary. She worked for the Methodist church in Ralston, and was involved in various church and scout activities.

Wilma married Donald Fraser on April 14, 1940, and was a very devoted wife for nearly 65 years. She was also a very dedicated mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Wynn Winkler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
