The deceased was the wife of John Duncan, to whom she was married Oct. 3, 1878. She was born Nov. 12, 1859, made a profession of religion in her 16th year at Princeton, Ind., uniting with the M. Mrs. Duncan was regarded by all as a consistent Christian. She leaves a husband and two little boys -- one three years old and the other 8 months old, to mourn her loss. The remains were interred in the new cemetery north of this city Sunday evening. The funeral sermon was preached at the residence of Mr. Duncan by Rev. W. B. Poinsett. The parents and a sister of Mrs. Duncan were telegraphed, but failed to receive the dispatch in time, and only reached here the day after the interment."
