Margery J. Davis of Lewiston passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. She was 88.
She was born June 20, 1915, at Goldendale, Wash., to Fred A. and Elsie I. Smith. She graduated from Goldendale High School in 1932 and attended business college at Centralia, Wash. She worked for many years at the Klickitat County treasurer's office in Goldendale.
Margery married Charles R. Davis April 11, 1937. They had two children, Julie and Brian. In 1962, the family moved to Lewiston where she worked part time at the Nez Perce County treasurer's office. She later worked at Craft Wall of Idaho for eight years.
Three sisters died previously, and her husband died in February 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie A. Johnson of Deary; a son, Brian C. Davis of Lewiston; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a niece in Oregon.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewiston. She volunteered in the toy shop with the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
The graveside service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston. Arrangements are under the direction of Malcom's Funeral Home in Lewiston.
