Obituary: Death of Sheriff Frey - The many friends of ex-Sheriff Jacob F. Frey will regret to bear that he died of congestion of the brain, at about 4 o'clock this morning, at his hotel in East King Street. Sheriff Frey was a man of generous impulses, and was not only widely known but highly esteemed. To add to the affliction of his bereaved family, the corpse of one of his children, a girl of 3 years, was lying in the house at the time of the Sheriff's death. The child died of diphtheria on Wednesday, and was to have been buried today, but on account of the death of the father the funeral has been postponed, and father and child will be buried together on Sunday afternoon.
