WELLINGTON - Chester Martin "Dick" Judd, 87, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Bowie Street Church of Christ with Rick Popejoy, minister, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Judd was born Jan. 2, 1917, to Isam and Dena McMullin Judd near Lark in Carson County. He came to the Roundup Community of Collingsworth County at age 7. He attended school at Roundup and Aberdeen. Dick married Lavern Grout on Feb. 1, 1935, in Hollis, Okla. He worked as a barber from 1949 until January 2002 and he was also engaged in farming. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002; five brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include four sons, Trueman Judd of Amarillo, Ron Judd and wife, Dianne, of Wichita Falls, Dickie Judd of Lamesa and Don Judd and wife, Judy, of Benbrook; a daughter, Patricia Dale Wilkins and husband, Joe, of Santa Maria, Calif.; a brother, Buck Judd of Amarillo; four sisters, Helen Wisdom of Amarillo, Betty Lindley of Howardwick, Janelle Stanford of Yukon, Okla., and Juanita Alleson of Austin; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Wellington Cemetery Association; Westview Boys Home; or the Church of Christ.
