Mrs. Venessa (Page) Henderson, 89, died early Wednesday morning, enroute to a Farmington hospital.
She was born at New Portland Aug 1, 1880, the daughter of Alfred S. and Laura (Richardson) Page.
She was the widow of Arthur Lester Henderson.
She had taught school for several years and was also employed in various mills and summer camps including the J. P. Morgan Camp. For the past several years she had made rag dolls for gift shops. She had served as town treasurer here. She was a member of the New Century Rebekah Lodge and the Willing Workers Club. She was a graduate of New Portland High School.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Lester Henderson of North New Portland; three daughters, Mrs. Thirza Leavitt of South Portland, Miss Bernice Henderson of North New Portland, and Mrs. Doris Atwood of Wilton; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sat at 2 pm at the Community Church here, with the Rev. William J. Burger of Farmington officiating. Spring burial will be in the East New Portland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Partridge Funeral Home in North Anson Friday afternoon and evening.
